Welcome to the tutorial section of Corrosive Online. My intention is to pass on the knowledge of web and graphic design that I have on to anyone who takes the time to read and wants to learn.
When I first started out designing websites I found it very difficult to find any tutorials that were aimed at the true beginner. Almost all of them seemed like complete nonsense and this wasn't down to the subject matter, although any new 'language' can be very daunting at first, I believe that it was down to the authors.
Not to say that every tutorial I write will be aimed at the novice designer but all the way through I try to adopt a conversational style. I try not to be stuffy and snooty because you don't know what I do. I write as if I am explaining it to a mate down the pub...I wonder why I don't get invited down the pub too often?
My methods may not be to everyone's liking either. That's the thing with web design in particular. There are many ways to 'skin a cat' and my chosen method may not be the same as the designer down the street. I invite comments on every tutorial and, if you have something constructive to add, I would encourage you to leave a message for other viewers. If your comment is 'Well I wouldn't do it like that' then please keep your opinions to yourself.
I hope that you will find these tutorials useful and please 'Tweet' them if you like them. 'Sharing is caring' afterall.
